Sexy Nomad is a shop and gallery at 115 West Ludington Ave, in Ludington, Michigan.

We carry vintage clothing, global home goods—especially from Morocco—and host a permanent photojournalism exhibit by Ryan Spencer Reed.

We’re part boutique, part art space, part invitation to see the world differently.

We also lead small-group trips for travelers who want more than just a vacation.

WHere the Sexy Nomad began

It started with a phone call.

The kind that doesn’t need a business plan. Just a yes.

Ryan said, “Lola, let’s do this.” And they did.

One had a camera, full of wear from the road. The other had years woven through Morocco, a life steeped in vintage—collected, lived with, quietly shared. Both carried a steady sense for what’s worth holding onto.

Somewhere between Michigan and the medina, the name Sexy Nomad took root.

You could say it began there. Or maybe it had always been on its way.

During the shop’s first season, some of our regulars started asking if we ever took people along.

We offer guided travel experiences, mostly in Morocco for now.

They’re small, personal, and shaped by people we’ve known for years: drivers, hosts, artists, and friends who open doors we couldn’t alone.

We keep it simple. Just a small group, good food, and time to take things in.

Right now we offer two trips—Wild Women in Marrakesh and Into the Sahara—and we also help nomads design custom travel if they’ve got something else in mind.

From-scratch journeys

One-on-one travel planning rooted in trust, curiosity, and time.

If you need guidance planning your own trip, we can do that. If you want something built start to finish, we can do that too. And if you’re already in-country and want a cultural guide for a day or two, Lola’s happy to meet you where you are.

  • This is deeper support—maybe you want help booking the right riad, translating at an artisan co-op, or finding a cooking class that isn’t staged for Instagram. We’re here for that. Lola can be your behind-the-scenes presence, smoothing the way and opening doors that usually stay closed.

  • Yes. If you’re planning your own travel but want some grounded advice, we offer one-on-one trip consulting over phone or Zoom. Lodging tips, where to eat, what to skip—we’ll help you sort the good stuff from the guesswork.

  • Absolutely. We offer full trip design—custom routes, thoughtful pacing, and trusted partners throughout.

  • We offer in-country day guiding, especially in Marrakesh.
